AN AFTERNOON WITH JANET SIEGEL ROGERS
OMSA Gallery is pleased and honored to introduce an artist who really needs no introduction. ABOUT JANET SIEGEL ROGERS
A distinguished educator for 45 years, from kindergarten through graduate school, Janet created spaces for color exploration in the realm of all things art. She established the Advanced Placement Studio Art program for the Performing & Visual Arts School of Broward County and was named Broward County Arts Educator of the Year.
Janet served as a Studio Art Consultant to the College Board and was an art education delegate to Egypt, Israel, Turkey, and China, through the Citizens Ambassador Program. She holds three degrees: a B.A., M.A., and an M.F.A. from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Janet’s works astound for the inevitable synesthesia from a chromatic point of view, opening us to new perceptions of how we experience art.
We look forward to sharing an engaging afternoon of conversation with this remarkable artist.

The accomplished Janet Siegel Rogers, is a distinguished artist, educator, as well as her roles as a wife, and mother.
Janet will grace our exhibition space for an afternoon of conversations to talk about her lifetime of work. She will answer questions and speak on her experience as artist, educator as well as expound on her prolific body of work.
There will be a Q&A afterward.

Bending the narrative of color theory, or marrying their imagination to its precepts, either way, these four artists demonstrate the overarching hope of color at play in the spectrum of possibilities.
Using vibrant colors in four distinct and unique ways, each elicits emotion as if a color theory were a visually audible vocabulary in a way you can see, hear, feel and almost smell it.
